Below is the checklist we go through on every new construction job.

New Construction: Interior Walls and Ceilings

1/ Check surfaces for imperfections.
2/ Patch, sand and caulk as needed.
3/ Check that surfaces are dry and clean, removing sanding dust.
4/ Remove hardware as necessary.
5/ Mask; using tape, plastic, and paper to protect other parts of the home.
6/ Apply primer.
7/ Apply two uniform coats of paint, allowing adequate drying time between coats.

New Construction: Interior Woodwork

Product if Stained or Sealed: Sanding sealer, high grade lacquer*, sheen and stain color as specified by client.

* Over the years, we’ve developed our own lacquer recipe that eliminates white marks from scratches, and also eliminates yellowing typically caused over time. We strongly believe our lacquer work is second to none.

1/ Sand all woodwork, remove machine marks and all imperfections.
2/ Mask; using tape, plastic, and paper to protect other parts of the home.
3/ Apply wood conditioner to achieve a more consistent stain color (unless client requests otherwise).
4/ Apply stain.
5/ Apply multiple coats of sanding sealer, sand & clean up dust between coats.
6/ Putty nail holes.
7/ Spray multiple coats of lacquer.
